The unique ornamental wooden "gingerbread" decorations on Campground cottages were created by jigsaws in the mid to late 1800's and are now being interpreted as jewelry in C.B. Stark Jeweler's newest collection for 2011.
"The Campground", or Wesleyan Grove, comprises 34 acres of the town of Oak Bluffs on Martha's VIneyard, MA. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and has been designated as a National Hostoric Landmark. Originally a tent site for Methodist prayer meetings begining in 1835, the area is now home to 315 cottages in the Carpenter Gothic Style.
