Meet Tillie, the newest member of our Vineyard Animal Collection! Tillie is a Normande cow; a breed of dairy cattle from the Normandy region of northwest France. They are raised principally for their milk, which is high in fat and suitable for making butter and cheese, but also for their meat, which is marbled and good-flavored. Some of the farms on Martha’s Vineyard have the Normande cow in their herd.
