Vineyard Haven • Edgartown (888) 227-8275
The African American Heritage Trail of Martha's Vineyard has been documenting and celebrating the history of people of color on the Island since its formation in 1998. Generations have been educated about this remarkable history and previously undocumented stories have been added to the Vineyard's collective story. The physical Trail honoring those histories now has 35 sites and stretches across the Island and is shared with many visitors throughout the year.
